Isabelle Andernack

Isabelle Andernack is a French Chartered Accountant (Expert-comptable) and a Member of the French financial analysts’ institution (Société française des analystes financiers SFAF). She has some 25 years of professional experience in both the private and public sectors, including such activities as training, accounting, and managing the transition to new accounting systems.
She also has significant experience in planning and implementation of an organization's transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). Isabelle has worked on many high-profile accounting and audit training and consulting engagements in the public and private sectors. For example, she has recently implemented an ERP (enterprise resource planning) system for an international organization where she had previously led the conversion from cash accounting to accrual accounting under IPSAS, in order to improve its management and long-term financial and business strategy.
Isabelle, who is fluent in English and French, is also a lecturer at EDHEC, ESSEC, Paris Dauphine University and at SFAF (Training Centre for Financial Analysts). She is the author of L'essentiel des IFRS (Eyrolles), foreword of Philippe Danjou, IASB Board Member as well as Interpretation and Application of IPSAS (Wiley), with Caroline Aggestam Pontoppidan.

Nick Auer is a qualified accountant and a learning and development practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in the public and private sectors. He designs and delivers bespoke training programmes and has significant experience in financial reporting, financial management, commercial awareness, value for money and performance improvement. Nick works with clients to implement training strategies, analyse training needs and evaluate training.
Nick has designed and delivered many financial reporting programmes including a variety of open and client-specific IFRS, IPSAS, UK GAAP, US GAAP and ESG courses. These range from basic to advanced and look at areas like Property Plant & Equipment, Intangible Assets, Employee Benefits, Leases, Financial Instruments, Provisions, Revenue Recognition, Business Combinations and Group Accounting. Nick has recently delivered programmes on ESG including the basics of ESG financial reporting requirements in UK, Europe and the US, the various reporting frameworks that can be used eg GRI, TCFD, Integrated Reporting, and how to apply ESG related tools including SDG indicators, materiality matrix and carbon accounting.
Nick has done a lot of work in both the private sector and UK public sector including the Ministry of Defence, Health Trusts e.g. Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital, Local Authorities, the Home Office and the UK Border Agency. Victoria Bainbridge

Victoria Bainbridge is a consultant and trainer with a specialism in public financial management. Most recently technical advisor and business development manager on international public financial management projects, alongside assignments in local commerce and academia in Germany.
Qualified UK accountant (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) and has Certified Internal Auditor qualification. Other expertise includes audit, governance and control, financial systems and processes, and project management and implementation.
Victoria Bainbridge

Gill is a qualified Chartered Accountant by background, spending the early years of her career working for two of the big four accountancy practices in audit and assurance roles. She has been involved in learning and development for more than 20 years, across both technical and people skills, and across the public and private sector. Over that time, she has delivered courses across the world, as well as virtually.
Gill works with clients to design and delivery bespoke learning solutions, ranging from bite-size, on-line sessions through to five-day, case study based residential programmes. Her training portfolio includes accounting skills, business and finance skills, internal and external audit, risk, and assurance. She has delivered risk and assurance training for the energy industry, telecommunications, and infrastructure companies among others, as well as central and local government. Finance training clients include, again, central and local government, and a range of other industries including professional services firms, banks and retail.
Gill also has a keen interest in combining technical skills with people skills through training on effective communication and report writing, team building, managing difficult meetings and wider business partnering skills. She is a member of the ICAEW, associate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and is qualified to administer psychometric questionnaires including Myers Briggs Type Indicator and 16PF. She recently qualified as an executive coach with the Academy of Executive Coaching and is a Certified Online Learning Facilitator.

Kate Daniels

In her consulting capacity, Kate has worked with the IFC and World Bank, European and African private equity fund managers, most European DFIs, African Portfolio Companies, and North American credit institutions. Kate holds an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the University of Pretoria's Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), South Africa; an MA in Women's Studies from University College Dublin, Ireland; and a BA in Political Science from St. Mary's College of California, USA.

Jerad Dias

Jerad is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and holding a B.Com (Special) degree from the University of Colombo. Jerad was a partner in the Audit and Assurance division at BDO Sri Lanka and Maldives. He also served as the Head of Training at BDO. He has more than 17 years’ experience mainly in audit, consulting and training functions. Prior to joining BDO, he worked at Ernst & Young (EY), Sri Lanka for nearly 10 years, including their offices located in Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Guam. After leaving EY, he worked in the BDO, Fiji office for two years as an Associate Director prior to joining BDO Sri Lanka in 2017.He was promoted as a Partner at BDO Sri Lanka in June 2020. He is specialized in general financial accounting, audit and in providing services related to IFRS training & consulting.
His local and international experience includes auditing clients in different industries including, banking and finance, leisure, telecommunication, manufacturing, transportation, food & beverage, retail and services. At CA Sri Lanka, he has served as a member of the Student Training and Skills Development Committee and the National Conference Technical Committee (2017-2019). He has also served as a member in the CAPA/National Conference Technical Committee, Audit Faculty, Financial Reporting Standards Implementation and Interpretation Committee and the SMP Task Force of CA Sri Lanka (2020-2021).
He was the Manager in Charge of the SMP Audit Toolkit development project (2012) and a member of the SMP Audit Software development project (2019) and the Practical Training Guide development project (2019).

Linda Hayes

Linda Hayes is a Chartered Accountant who teaches many courses on intermediate and advanced financial accounting topics under IFRS. Linda previously managed external reporting at Servus Credit Union as well as ATB Financial (both Alberta Financial Institutions).
Linda’s experience includes external reporting under IFRS, accounting for derivatives and hedging, foreign exchange and general ledger management. Linda has been teaching at both the undergraduate and MBA level for over 15 years, and has also been involved in training candidates for the Canadian Chartered Accountant designation. Her work experience also includes six years of public accounting at Deloitte and Grant Thornton, as well as other industry experience. Linda has a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration.

In the recent past, he has delivered public and in-house training courses around the world to a diverse audience from industries including financial services, retail, real estate, oil & gas, telecoms, and IT. Bill is a UK chartered accountant, and was educated at the Edinburgh Academy and at Oxford University.
An experienced educator, he was formerly Managing Director of a major London financial training company. Bill’s work also includes training and consulting on financial statement analysis and business valuation. Bill taught on the International Accounting MSc program of the London School of Economics.

Faatima Kholvadia is a lecturer and consultant specializing in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). After graduating from the University of Witwatersrand, Faatima worked as a public accountant at PwC specialising in the Mining and Oil & Gas industries.
She also lectured at the University of Witwatersrand while completing her Masters in Commerce (Accounting). Faatima is a qualified South African chartered accountant and has worked in the UK, South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.

In 2011 she established her own business as technical freelance consultant and trainer to account professionals. Subsequently she has worked extensively with commerce and industry, assisting analysts, directors and other users of financials to interpret, prepare, analyse and forecast based on the results of financial statements.
Caryn is a technical advisor to various SAICA Eastern Region Districts as well as serving on various SAICA committees, such as the SAICA Eastern Region Council.

He has facilitated courses for preparers and users of financial statements from over 50 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and the Caribbean. Saket has spent considerable time working, advising and training on complex matters relating to IFRS, including recognition and measurement of financial instruments, insurance contracts and technical updates. He has designed learning materials and facilitated courses for organizations in different sectors including banks, insurance companies, oil and gas companies, governments, professional services firms, accountancy bodies and educational institutions. He has written material on IFRS Accounting for Financial Instruments for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and was invited by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board® (IAASB®) to present a paper on IFRS 9 Financial Instruments at their board meeting in New York.
In addition to international financial reporting and analysis, Saket has also facilitated courses globally on ESG reporting frameworks, including the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards published by the International Sustainability Standard Board (ISSB). Saket has gained valuable experience working with FTSE listed companies and also with major accounting firms. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, holds IFRS certificate from the ICAEW and IPSAS Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). In addition to being a qualified accountant, Saket is also a CFA® charterholder.

Pateel Papazian has professional experience both in the USA and Lebanon. A Certified Public Accountant from the state of California, she holds an EMBA degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB). She has worked in public accounting (CPA firms) for over nineteen years, including nine years in the USA. As a Director at KPMG – Lebanon from 1998 to 2008, she has audited clients including commercial companies and non-profit organizations reporting under IFRS and USGAAP. In 2008 she moved to the microfinance sector as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of one of the leading microfinance institutions in Lebanon where she was responsible for the overall financial management of the Institution.
In 2010 she joined AUB as Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance and was in charge of planning, supervising, coordinating and performing complex financial analysis, accounting process and control analysis, internal and external reporting and other related work. Pateel has been working as a self-employed financial trainer and consultant since October 2012.
Her curriculum as a financial trainer includes seminars on Financial Management Essentials for Non-Finance Professionals, IPSAS Accrual Basis, Management Accounting, Oil and Gas Global accounting, Financial statements analysis and Asset Management. Pateel is fluent in four languages: English, Arabic, French and Armenian.

Bob Phelps BA, FCA is a trainer of long standing in the business and financial community. He specialises in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UK GAAP and US GAAP. Bob is a UK Chartered Accountant and was educated at private schools in Trinidad and the UK and at the University of Wales.
An experienced accountancy exam tutor, he was formerly involved in the start-up and management of a regional training centre of a national financial training company. Bob’s work also includes training and consulting on financial statement analysis, business valuation and bank prudential regulation.

Bob Phelps BA, FCA is a trainer of long standing in the business and financial community. He specialises in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UK GAAP and US GAAP. Caroline Pontopiddan

Caroline Pontoppidan is an experienced educator and researcher specializing in sustainability reporting (CSRD, ESRS, IFRS S1,2; TNFD, TCFD etc.). Since finalising her Ph.D. in auditing, she has carried out a broad range of assignments with clients in regards to the implementation of both financial accounting and sustainability reporting solutions. Her research has covered a number of different topics in sustainability reporting. Examples include materiality assessments and biodiversity reporting.
In addition, she has worked with the development of public sector accounting at the global level while providing training services for various public sector entities on the interpretation and application of IPSAS. Caroline previously spent three years in Japan teaching and researching emerging accounting and auditing issues, and she also worked for a United Nations agency for eight years.
